Research and Development Technological Bureau «Onega» (hereinafter referred as to JSC NIPTB Onega) is one of the leading engineering design companies in the Russian shipbuilding industry. The Company was established in 1975 for repair of the 2nd Generation NPS.
The Far Eastern branch of JSC NIPTB Onega (hereinafter referred as to DVF NIPTB Onega) was established in 1976 based on the Far Eastern Enterprise «Zvezda», Bolchoi Kamen for technical support of NPS repair in the Far Eastern.
The high engineering level of developments and qualification of engineers of JSC NIPTB Onega were recognized by numerous partners, including the enterprises and organizations of Navy, shipbuilding and nuclear industries.
In 1999, a group of specialists of JSC NIPTB Onega was rewarded by Government of the Russian Federation in the domain of science and engineering for the work «Technological development and increase of NPS repair cost efficiency by extension the equipment service life and equipment life».
In 2004, V. S. Nikitin, Director General of JSC NIPTB Onega, Doctor of Engineering Science became a laureate of State Prize of the Russian Federation for the study «Development and industrial implementation of environmentally safe technologies of NPS comprehensive dismantlement at Russian shipbuilding and shiprepairing enterprises».
In 2009, a group of specialists of JSC NIPTB Onega was rewarded by M.V. Lomonosov prize for scientific-implemental study «Biological shielding for normalization of radiation environment in the SNF dry storage blocks within the technical area of branch No1 FSUE «SevRAO».
The numerous developments of the Company as intellectual property subject matters are protected by patents for an invention, utility models patents, patents on a design, certificates of registration of computer programs and data bases. Besides the specialist of the Company received the certificate of registration of one scientific discovery.
The quality management system of the Company is certified in compliance with the standards requirements GOST R ISO 9001–2008, SRPP VT, GOST RB 15.002–2003.
Throughout its activity JSC NIPTB Onega in cooperation with shipbuilding and shiprepairing enterprises of the Russian Federation undertake mission in sustentation of ships operational readiness of Navy over all life cycle and ensure the technological development of Russian shipyards.
